March 24, 2019 - Edmonton, AB - No more fumbling in your wallet to find your ID. An Alberta Party-led government will move to the 21st Century by introducing one provincial picture Identification Card for government services. This would replace the current jumble of plastic and paper identification for health care, drivers’ licenses, provincial ID and the Alberta WIN Card. The plan is to also launch a digital government identification app with a portal to allow Albertans more flexibility when presenting ID.
March 21, 2019 - Edmonton, AB - Alberta Party Leader Stephen Mandel announced this morning that an Alberta Party government will double the number of educational assistants in Alberta’s K- 12 classrooms with a major boost in funding for inclusive education. This means more support in the classroom so every child can have an enhanced learning experience.
March 20, 2019 -Edmonton, AB - Alberta Party Leader Stephen Mandel announced this morning how an Alberta Party government will pursue the most ambitious plan for early learning and child care in the history of Alberta. The Children First plan includes a major investment of direct financial support to lower and middle-income families to cover the costs of licensed daycare and out-of-school care programs, a caregiver tax credit, and the creation of more affordable, high-quality child care spaces throughout the province. This means more child care spaces and more opportunities for parents to enter the workforce.
January 17, 2019 (Edmonton) – With a new poll released by the Angus Reid Institute showing a majority of Canadians believe the pipeline crisis is a national issue that needs to be addressed, Alberta Party Leader Stephen Mandel is proposing a holistic approach to getting the province working.
“We have a practical, multi-pronged approach to getting more value for our resources, getting more of our resources to market, and getting job quality and wage growth back on track for Albertans,” said Mandel.
“We’ve proposed an active engagement process with Indigenous proponents, such as the Indian Resource Council (IRC), the Eagle Spirit Pipeline, and local hereditary and elected leaders to negotiate mutual benefit agreements and address concerns in a meaningful manner.
“We were the first political party to call for a mandated curtailment of oil production to help reduce the impact of the oil differential back in November; – plan that has shown in the short term to have a positive impact for Alberta’s resource owners: taxpayers.
